Dedicated Silicon

AMD Ryzen 8845HS with 8 cores @ 5.1Ghz for the CPU, and a dedicated GPU for the scaler ensures no overhead is added to the main processing pipeline.

16x Neural Processing Unit + GPU

The 16x Neural Processing Unit assists the tone mapping and AI workload, and the GPU delivers high performance for such a small form factor.

Low Frame Latency

Optimized C++ video processing code provides low frame and subframe latency. This allows multiple complex processing operations per frame in real time.

Media Player with Expandable Storage

512GB default NVMe storage, internally upgradeable to 8+ Terabytes, and externally upgradeable to 50+ Terabytes using NVMe in the optional chassis.

Automatic Aspect Sizing

Applies to Projector CIH / Scope Screens. Intelligent aspect ratio detection with automatic scaling and user configurable digital masking. Scales to properly formatted 16:9 aspect ratio.

Power Efficient

Under heavy load, the device is expected to use lower wattage than most comparable processors.

Video Processing

The scaler is a multifaceted video device that performs many common video processing functions such as tone mapping, sharpening, anti-clipping (clipping shield), and more. Many functions are still under development, check the status page for the latest info.

Linux Mode

The primary video processing and scaler is handled with a custom Linux build that uses a high performing C++ user interface. The UI will function similar to other streaming devices.

Android Mode (DP Versions Only)

The up and coming DP versions of the ProtoScaler include a dual boot where you can select Android or Linux. In Android mode, you can play Android games, browse the web, etc...
